Rules & FAQs
Standard cricket team of 11, standard cricket rules; overs announced with each fixture. Teams play for the taluk where they register. The organising committee's decision is final.
Eligibility
Indian residents, in boys, girls, men or women teams. Girls and women have their own draw and trophies.
Under-18: every player must be below 18. Up-to-25: every player must be 25 or younger. Age is counted on a cut-off date announced with the Season 1 schedule.
Aadhaar, a school ID or a birth certificate, carried to every match.
No. A player can register with one team per category.
Teams & registration
Use the Register button at the top of any page. The captain fills in the team form, adds every player's date of birth and uploads age proofs. A confirmation email follows.
The taluk where you register. Your fixture is emailed 7 days before play.
Eleven, as in any cricket match. Standard cricket rules apply.
On match day
Standard cricket rules. The number of overs is announced with each fixture.
Respect umpires, opponents and spectators. No alcohol, tobacco or drugs at any venue. The organising committee's decision is final.
The whole team is disqualified, as it is for fake documents.

National Desi Village Games Movement
Reviving India's traditional sports heritage. A proposed all-India championship of village games at taluk headquarters, for boys and girls teams up to 25 years, with Taluk, District, State and National levels.

A raider holds breath, chants and tags opponents in their half.

A chasing team tags runners, taking turns from a crouched line.
Lagori (Pithu)
Knock down a stack of seven stones, then rebuild it before being hit.
Gilli danda
Strike a small gilli into the air with a longer danda (chinni dandu in Kannada).

Two teams pull a rope to drag the other over the line.
